We want you to know that RITA is taking every possible precaution to protect the health and safety of its employees and taxpayers while continuing to deliver high quality service. We are continuing to follow all orders issued by the Ohio Department of Health and to evaluate their impact on our operations. In response to the Stay Safe Ohio Order issued on April 30, 2020, we provide this update on our business operations.
Our offices remain open for internal, essential services, however in-person taxpayer assistance remains suspended for now.
The health, wellness and safety of our employees and taxpayers is our top priority as we prepare for the re-opening of our offices to the public. We are finalizing plans for the processes and precautions we will be asking all future visitors to take while at a RITA location. We will communicate those plans soon.
While our physical doors are staying closed to the public for now, we continue to offer the following:
RITA offers several secure, simple and convenient online services which allow taxpayers to file returns, make payments, review account information, and send secure messages to a RITA agent through MyAccount.
Self-service telephone options such as making a payment, checking refunds or estimated payments, are available to you 24/7 by calling 800.860.7482.
During normal business hours our phone lines are still open but we have reduced the number of customer service representatives in our call center to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. As a result your wait time to speak with an agent may be longer than what you are accustomed to.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Any further adjustments to RITA’s operating schedule will be published on our website. Please check back for updates as they become available.
